Alcaņiz is framed in the autonomous community of Aragon in the central-eastern Spain, and it's a town in the province of Teruel.
Together with its districts of Puigmoreno and Valmuel covers a total of more than 16,000 inhabitants at the present, is also the capital of the Bajo Aragon region. The city is located at an altitude of 340 meters above sea level and it's total area is over 370 km2. The city is located at distances of 148 km from the province capital Teruel, 102 km from Zaragoza which is the capital of Aragon, from Madrid 444 km, 236 km from Valencia and 248 km away from Barcelona.
Among the attractiveness of the City you can find "Motorland", the motor complex which hosts various international competitions such as MotoGP, Superbikes or the World Series by Renault. Easter is also important in the Bajo Aragon, where Alcaņiz is a member of the "Drum and Bass Drum route".
